i hope not because i downloaded it and ran it last night lol. i only have 1 problem with it. i can only play Cairo Station, i can't play past that because i haven't activated it so how do i do that using this mod? and i have 1 question, is it possible to play online with this?

lol no, i bought my copy of halo 2 at best buy. but using this mod, (i dont have vista) i cant play past cairo station. when i try it tells me that i need to activate it by reinserting the disc and going to the activation menu.

I have the same problem, and I tried using a modified registry from my vista on the XP without success. I think it has something to do with the Xlive.dll or something of that nature that is copied to the windows folder. I wish I knew where to look for the registered data and help. At least now I know I'm not the only one to experience this problem

Yeah to activate it it has to be able to run, so Master Kim, I believe you just got negative smart points.
The error refers to specific ".dll" (direct link library) that are not available to XP, which to those of you who dont know what that means, the .dll files tell windows how to run a program. That is what this hack does, is gives windows a way to read the content of those files.

so does that mean that razor1911 didnt provide a hack for this specific problem?

btw, does anybody know how to get in contact with razor1911? or are they hiding from microsoft? lol

I recommend you create a partition on your hard drive(s) and choose to dual-boot Windows XP and Windows Vista instead of merely dumping the latter--you might regret it.

thanks. i read in a computer magazine (like Computer Shopper or something) that having 2 OS's on the same drive can make one or the other OS unstable. besides, i still have the XP MCE installation disk if i need it.

i would delete the entire mod, clean out your browser cache, and try downloading it again.

Im able to instal it but then when i get to the window when i can choose difficulty i press like normal and then that window disapers and nothin happens then, no more just a empty window :S help me please

and btw dude about the loader do u drag the startup file on the loader window or u just press the loader ? :O

i did both but anyway. its when i load the loader it comes up and closes. and i tried doing it throgh cmd prompt

You can't do multiplayer but where I got the patch from is working on it, you can only get achievements for your gamer tag at the moment.

I have been a big fan of Halo ever since it came out. I would like to see it working on Windows XP but, IMHO Halo 2 is really not all thats it is cracked up to be IMHO. It is using what 3-4 year old graphics technology that was never updated. The game really doesn't offer many surprises to those who already played it on the console. There's no new content and very few graphical improvements. Rumor has it may have a new map BIG Deal!. The games that are coming out these day are so much better looking that Halo 2. IE: Crysis And Unreal Tournament 3 just for starters. I run a Dual Boot System. Windows XP and Vista. There is no way Im gonna pay $50 for an "OLD GAME" using "Old Graphics Technology". Its just not worth it to me.

ok for those who having problem playing only to Cario Station you need to go to your folder "Patch XP" or "halo 2 XP Crack" and find MF.dll and place it into Halo folder or Halo 2 folder i don't really know. Enjoy!
