So.. it is officially released? I find the game too darn slow.... its not fast paced like halo1 was. U cant jump around and melee and stuff like in the nice, fast paced Halo1. Maybe thats just because i've only played single player.. but thats my 2 cents.

Waiting to play customs maps...thats what will put it over the top for me.

I gave the game a 7. It's really fun (both single-player and multiplayer) and the graphics are surprisingly better, but there are a bunch of stupid problems I'm having with the game. First, I can't play a single cinematic in Campaign successfully. It is choppy beyond belief. Second, the map editor just doesn't seem to work. I follow the help file to the letter but it doesn't do what it says it's supposed to do. Third, where's the Matchmaking on LIVE? I was under the impression that I would be able to play ranked playlists like on the Xbox version. It's really disappointing that the closest thing to it is Quick Match.

I love the online play though. I think it was worth the $40 CDN; I was expecting to pay $60 or so.

I gave what I gave the original Xbox version and then I factored the increased horrible features and gave it the score it deserved; a four.

Personally Halo 1 is more fun to play! Halo 2 moves to slow. The rockets are to slow. I like the new map details but it's lost in the lack of movement.

This game is a shame. It turned out to be nothing but a marketing ploy for Microsoft. Honestly it should be for sale at the dollar store for half off. The graphics are a year behind, and they sucked a year ago. Anyone who has been playing BF-2 HALF LIFE AND EVEN FAR CRY, (for as old as it is) should have no reason to appreciate this game. If you have Vista, you most likely have a good computer that you can save the 50 bucks and put it towards a direct x 10 card and a game worth looking at. And if anybody really wants this game I will give it to them, it's a discrace to have anywhere near me.

What a dissapointment Halo 2 is!

I'm a fan of Halo 1.

But the the mouse/keyboard stearing is so slow in Halo 2 and when you look around with your mouse there's so much tearing that it's unplayable. There's not even a vsynch option in the menu to try to correct this, like there where in Halo 1. But Halo 1 didn't have a tearing problem like Halo 2 do.

Reading on the internet i can see that alot of people feel like i do about the slow and tearing movement in Halo 2. I hope a patch can fix this. I really don't care that the graphics isn't new. It wasn't good on Halo 1 either, but Halo 1 had great style, gameplay and atmosphere that sucked me right into the game.

I guess the slow and tearing feel to Halo 2 comes from a bad conversion from the xbox 360. A controller is no match in feel and quickness in FPS games as to mouse/keyboard. Fx you can't slide around corners and make moves very fast in FPS games with a controller like you can with mouse/keyboard, so i think this slowness has come through conversion and on to the Halo 2 PC game? I don't know, but it really sucks that a game i've been waiting to play isn't worth playing because the stearing with mouse/keyboard is sooo sloow and there's soo much tearing.

It smells of Microsoft needed a big title to push Vista forward and in the process made a bad product with many bugs in it.

Please Bungie/Microsoft correct the tearing in Halo 2 with a patch!!? Try comparing the mouse/keyboard feel with other FPS outthere and you'll se what i mean!

I have it a four becuase its really fun, no in game problems but everything else is COMPLETELY fucked up. I can't play live, I can't find the game files on my computer (can't reinstall because "installation has already begun"), and whenever I try to make accounts and fail, I end up taking the names that I wanted to use, even thoough teh account hasnt been created.

The tearing/stutter/lag problem with the mouse/keyboard stearing can be fixed. There's a thread in the forum i hadn't read but just discovered and i have tried the fix and it works great for me. All tearing/stutter/lag is completely gone! :o)
